Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Then start your engines and head over to the annual “Fire it Up” Car Show this weekend!

The Peoria Firefighters Charities, a non-profit group made up of Peoria Firefighters, will be hosting its annual Fire it Up Car Show on Saturday, May 21st from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at State Trailer 8200 W. Peoria Ave., Peoria. The car show event will feature fire apparatus, motorcycles, custom bicycles as well as new and classic cars and trucks. There’s an expected 250 autos on displa ranging from modern cars and trucks to the classics. 

This free family event in Peoria is perfect for the grandkids and will include a bouncy house, corn hole, giant Jenga, an adult Connect 4 and a large Home Depot kids workshop. In addition, there will be local food and ice cream vendors.

All funds raised by the Fire it Up Car Show go back into the community. The Peoria Firefighters Charities pays for children to attend burn camp and diabetes camp. They host also events for senior citizens and the Special Olympics, provide swim lessons for low income children, organize school reading programs and have the annual Johnny Valentine scholarship program.
